The H2 gas detector is diffusion type, adopts embedded micro control technology, featuring simple menu operation, complete functions, and high reliability. It is widely used in petroleum, chemical industry, metallurgy, electric power, coal mines, water plants, and other environments, with a alarm light, when there is gas leak concentration exceed a certain level, it will makes alarm quickly to prevent explosion or poisoning accidents.

Hydrogen, as a chemical raw material, is used in synthesis of ammonia, smelting, hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, industrial fuels, etc. However, it is flammable and toxic, so hydrogen leakage detectors are particularly important. Hydrogen detectors detect gas concentration through natural diffusion, using electrochemical sensors, with good sensitivity and excellent repeatability.

Our H2 gas leak detector can be with 4-20mA or RS485 Modbus signal output, some customer use it to connect with PLC/DCS system or use with alarm lamp directly.It is also with a relay output which can drive external device like solenoid valve or fan,When gas concentration reach a preset alarm point the fan open.Hydrogen gas leak monitor is widely used for Hydrogen plant,petroleum,battery plant etc.

3. About Installation:

The online hydrogen h2 gas detector consists of a gas detection controller and a fixed hydrogen detector. The gas alarm control panel is placed in the duty room to monitor and control various monitoring points. The hydrogen detector is installed in the place where the gas is most likely to leak. The hydrogen detector converts the hydrogen concentration detected by the sensor into an electrical signal, which is transmitted to the gas detection alarm controller through a cable. The higher the gas concentration, the stronger the electrical signal. When the gas concentration reaches or exceeds the alarm point set by the alarm controller, the gas detection alarm controller sends an alarm signal, and can start external equipment such as solenoid valves and exhaust fans to automatically eliminate hidden dangers.

4. About Hydrogen Gas:

Hydrogen is colorless and odorless, and the flame is transparent when burning, which is not easy to be found. Adding smelly ethanethiol to hydrogen can make the sense of smell aware and give the flame color at the same time. The gas is lighter than air. When used and stored indoors, the leaked gas rises and stays on the roof, which is not easy to discharge. It will cause an explosion when it encounters a fire source.

5. How should we choose the h2 sensor type?

3 types of Hydrogen sensor used for H2 gas detector:

Catalytic combustion, electrochemistry, and heat conduction.

It is recommended to select the principle of catalytic combustion technology for the conventional measurement of the lower explosive limit (LEL unit), and the use for the measurement of toxic leakage (PPM unit). The electrochemical principle can be selected. For the purpose of measuring large ranges of high concentration hydrogen (VOL units), it is recommended to use the technical principle of heat conduction sensors.
