1.Brief introduction
The ETO sensor detects the ethylene oxide content in real time and alarms when the concentration exceeds a certain level. The ETO detector use explosion proof housing which meet the environment requests and keep safety.
The ethylene oxide ETO sensor must be installed in the environment where ethylene oxide is used for sterilization. ETO, Ethylene Oxide, sterilizes space through gas diffusion. When ETO gas molecules react with microorganisms and destroy them, sterilization is achieved. It does not corrode plastics, metals, and rubber. It is used to sterilize medical and medical devices, sterilize pharmaceutical products which are not suitable for high-temperature steam sterilization, like electronic components, plastic packaging, or plastic containers. However, Ethylene oxide gas is a combustible and explosive gas, explosion limit of 3%-100%. When the concentration in the air exceeds 3%, it will explode when it encounters an open flame.

4.How to install ETO detector
ETO has the chemical formula C2H4O and a molecular weight greater than that of air, so the gas will diffuse upward after leakage. The ETO sensor should be installed close to the possible leakage place 30CM away from the ceiling. Since explosion-proof treatment is required on site, it is recommended that wires and cables be protected with explosion-proof pipes, and the line inlet needs to be explosion-proof treated with explosion-proof mud. If there is a power supply on site, such as a switching power supply, it needs to be placed in an explosion-proof box.
5.Maintenance
Avoid exposing sensors to high concentrations of ETO beyond their range; Keep sensors free from dust, moisture, and chemical contaminants;
Calibrating ETO sensor one time a year.
