Overview:

Power Bus is a hierarchical system, which consists of a master device, several slave devices, and a pair of connection cables. All slave devices are connected to the bus in parallel. The master device controls all serial communication processes on the bus.
Function:
Power Bus uses the power line as a data transmission line, and performs data communication by modulating the power supply. The power line and the data line are used together to reduce the difficulty and the amount of wiring.
Installation:
Power Bus slave devices are connected to the master in a bus mode, and each slave device is connected to the bus in parallel. The maximum number of devices is 256 under the bus distance requirement. The following is the Power Bus master-slave connection method.
Advantages:
1. Power Bus has a variety of topological connection modes such as star, tree, and bus. The below figure shows the connection mode of each Power Bus slave device connected by the bus interface. 3. Power Bus uses the power line as a carrier for data communication and supports multiple topological connection methods. Compared with RS485, it reduces both A and B data lines, saves installation costs, and simplifies wiring. It also saves labor for installation. Cost and subsequent maintenance costs.
4. Power Bus has the same bus advantages as RS485. It can connect data devices on the bus. Compared with two-wire 4-20mA devices, there are more devices connected on one interface, reducing wiring costs, and achieving bidirectional data Communication.
5. Because Power Bus draws power from the bus power, many peripheral devices can be connected to each slave device, such as alarm lights, relays, and other protective equipment.
