How to do daily maintenance properly for fixed gas detector?
Gas detector selection requirements
● The function, structure, performance and quality of the selected gas detector should meet the national legal requirements;
● The manufacturer of the gas detector should obtain the license for manufacturing measuring instruments issued by the national technical supervision administrative department
● The manufacturer of the gas detector should obtain the explosion-proof certificate issued by the explosion-proof inspection department designated by the state, and reach the explosion-proof level required by the installation site.

Fixed gas detector daily maintenance
1. Keep intact and clean of the gas detector's exterior. It is necessary to keep all parts free from dust and oil pollution, and prevent rusting. When used in harsh environments such as dusty and corrosive gas, it is necessary to timely clean and dust, especially the detection device cannot be blocked by foreign objects.
2. The gas detector in use is forbidden from being impacted, so as to avoid damage to internal components and severe failure due to severe external force.
3. The gas detector should pay attention to waterproofing. Waterproof cover or thick non-detecting parts should be installed in the outdoor and indoor places that are easily washed away by water. If the connecting cable is higher than the detector, waterproof sealing measures should be taken.
4. The installation and wiring of fixed gas detector shall be carried out in accordance with the requirements specified by the manufacturer, and shall comply with the provisions for the installation and wiring of explosion-proof instruments.
5. Gas detectors are explosion-proof equipment and must not be used beyond the specified range. The detector must not be used in sulfur-containing applications. The detector should be used under the condition that the concentration of flammable gas is lower than the lower explosive limit, otherwise, the components may be burned.
6. Turn off the power during maintenance or moving, otherwise it will burn the components easily.
7. Do not install the detector in a place that is too close to steam or oil smoke.
8. Do not immerse the detector in water or other liquids.
9. Do not use irritating substances such as pesticides, paints, and large amounts of alcohol near the detector to avoid false alarms.
10. When using, avoid frequent high concentration flammable gas shock sensor.
11. Under normal circumstances, the service life of the sensor is 2-3 years for flammable gas and about 2 years for toxic gas sensor. Improper installation, use or the influence of bad environment will reduce the sensitivity of the sensor and shorten its service life.
12. Detectors stored in an environment below 0 ° C should be placed in a room temperature environment for more than 2 hours before being powered on.
13. Detectors that have not been used for a long time should be used normally after being warmed up for 2 hours.
