Activities involved in hydrogen sulfide operations must strictly comply with the special operation safety code for chemical production units (GB 30871-2014) and related codes, standards and systems, and pay special attention to the following points:

4 - 副本

Preventive Measures

1. The production equipment that produces hydrogen sulfide should be airtighted as far as possible, and an automatic alarm device should be set up (the concentration of hydrogen sulfide in dangerous places cannot be judged according to the smell, because hydrogen sulfide will cause smell paralysis when it reaches a certain concentration).

2. The waste water, waste gas and waste residue containing hydrogen sulfide shall be purified and treated until they reach the discharge standard.

3.When entering the workplace such as sealed containers, pits, kilns and trenches where hydrogen sulfide may exist, the concentration of hydrogen sulfide in the workplace should be measured first, and ventilation and detoxification measures should be taken to ensure safety before operation.

4.Take personal protective measures during operation, and equip with anti-gas appliances (gas masks are generally used for escape and self-rescue)

5. People suffering from hepatitis, kidney disease and tracheitis shall not be exposed to hydrogen sulfide.

6. Strengthen the training of employees' professional safety knowledge and skills, and improve the awareness and ability of self-protection.

Emergency treatment of hydrogen sulfide poisoning:

Devices and equipment involved should formulate special emergency plans and on-site disposal plans for hydrogen sulfide poisoning. In case of hydrogen sulfide poisoning accident, those who participate in on-site rescue must perform rescue under the condition of good safety protection. should wear isolation clothing, wear anti - toxic appliances , avoid blind rescue.

The poisoned ones should be quickly carried away from the poisoning site, move to the air fresh and well-ventilated place, untie clothes, pants belt, inhalation of oxygen, use glucocorticoids, appropriate use antidotes, and actively deal with the symptoms of the rescue. For those who have stopped breathing, artificial respiration should be carried out in time, endotracheal intubation and mechanical ventilation should be carried out in time.
