1.Gas leakage in gas boilers refers to the leakage of gas in the boiler due to equipment, pipelines, etc., which cannot be discharged normally. If it is not handled in time, it will bring many hazards, mainly the following points.
(1). Explosion hazard: Gas is an explosive substance. If the concentration of gas leakage reaches the explosion limit, it is very easy to cause an explosion accident, posing a great threat to personal property.
(2). Poisoning risk: Gas contains compressed air. Long-term inhalation of indoor air containing gas will cause hypoxia in the human body, dizziness, nausea, vomiting and other symptoms. In severe cases, it will cause poisoning or even death.
(3). Fire hazard: If gas leaks near flammable materials, it is easy to cause a fire due to open flames, electric sparks, etc.
The boiler body uses the heat energy provided by the combustion equipment to convert water into water vapor, making it a certain quantity and quality (pressure and humidity) of steam. The entire boiler production process is to send a certain amount of combustible gas and a corresponding amount of air into the furnace for combustion. The heat generated by the combustion is transferred to the water, causing the water to vaporize under a constant pressure to form water vapor at a certain pressure and temperature. Due to the huge gas transmission pipeline of the gas boiler and the large consumption of combustible gas, some pipelines are already aging and corroded. If the maintenance and inspection of the pipeline are not paid attention to, combustible gas leakage is likely to occur during the gas transmission process, causing an explosion accident. At this time, it is necessary to install a combustible gas alarm system to detect whether there is any leakage of combustible gas.
2. Preventive measures for gas leakage of gas boilers
In order to reduce the risk of gas leakage of gas boilers, we can take the following measures to prevent it:
(1)Regular maintenance: Gas boilers must be regularly maintained and serviced to check whether the gas pipeline is leaking and whether the boiler is operating normally.
(2)Install a gas alarm: The gas alarm can detect the gas concentration. Once the abnormal gas concentration is detected, it will automatically alarm, reminding us to deal with it in time and reduce the risk of accidents.
(3). Increase ventilation facilities: Increase ventilation facilities can effectively reduce the indoor gas concentration, improve the indoor air quality, and reduce the risk of human poisoning.
3. Treatment of gas leakage of gas boilers
If a gas boiler gas leak is found, we need to take the following steps to deal with it:
(1). Turn off the gas valve immediately: When the indoor gas concentration is abnormal, the gas valve should be closed immediately to prevent more gas from leaking into the room.
(2). Open windows, doors and other ventilation facilities: Open indoor windows, doors and other ventilation facilities to circulate the air in the room as much as possible to reduce the indoor gas concentration.
(3). Call the police immediately: If the situation is serious, you need to call the police immediately and ask the relevant department to come and deal with it.
The function of the combustible gas leak detector is to detect the concentration of natural gas leakage. Once it exceeds the standard, it will immediately sound an alarm to remind the staff to take safety measures. Once the natural gas concentration reaches the alarm value we set, the detector will remind us that there is a gas leak and measures should be taken, which will largely avoid explosion accidents. To ensure the reliability of product performance, we recommend that users regularly maintain and calibrate the product during the use period of the natural gas alarm.
