Which gases can be detected by the combustible gas detector

Combustible gas detectors can detect a range of gases that are highly flammable or explosive in nature. These gases include methane, propane, butane, and natural gas. They are commonly found in homes, gas-fueled appliances, and industrial processes.

With the help of these gas detectors, potential fire hazards can be easily detected and prevented in time. The detectors sense and alert you of the presence of dangerous gases, allowing you to take prompt action to ensure your safety and well-being. They are easy to install, use, and maintain, making them an ideal safety tool for homeowners and businesses alike.

Combustible gas detectors are detectors installed and used in industrial and civil buildings that respond to a single or multiple combustible gas concentrations. The working principle of combustible gas detector In the design of combustible gas detector, sensor and MCU are the core components of the instrument. Combustible gas concentration signal converts the toxic combustible gas concentration signal into A voltage signal through the gas sensor. After the pre-amplification circuit, the digital signal is directly output or A voltage signal suitable for single-chip microcomputer is output through A/D conversion, and then sent to the single-chip microcomputer. The analog voltage signal needs to be linearized after data processing. The voltage signal is converted into the corresponding hexadecimal concentration value. The concentration value is sent to the LCD display. When the concentration of the detected toxic combustible gas exceeds the upper alarm setting value, the alarm emits an audible and visual alarm, and the display screen displays the corresponding status.

The catalytic combustible gas detector measures the gas concentration through the resistance change generated by the refractory metal platinum wire heating. After the gas in the air enters the detector, the surface of the platinum wire will undergo oxidation reaction, and the heat generated at this time will gradually increase the temperature of the platinum wire, resulting in changes in the resistivity of the platinum wire. When encountering high temperature and other factors, the platinum wire temperature will also be affected to a certain extent, and the detected data will also change after the platinum wire resistivity changes.

Portable combustible gas detector alarm value is generally two levels, that is, low report value, high report value, can also be customized according to the specific needs of different alarm values (optional), here mainly said the standard portable combustible gas detector alarm value.

1. The low report value is 25%LEL, that is, when the concentration value of combustible gas in the detection environment on the display screen reaches or is higher than 25%LEL and is less than 50%LEL, the low warning will be issued, usually as a reminder to avoid the rapid increase of combustible gas concentration, resulting in accidents. If the flammability is detected to reach the low value and stable at a certain concentration, the alarm will automatically stop after 1-3 minutes.

2. The high report value is 50%LEL, that is, after the concentration value of combustible gas detected in the environment on the display reaches or is higher than 50%LEL, a high alarm signal will be issued to prompt the field operator to respond in time. Suspend all the work at hand and start the exhaust fan to dilute the concentration of combustible gas, so as to ensure the safety of the environment and prevent the occurrence of all combustion and explosion accidents.
