The so-called gas alarm explosion-proof and intrinsically safe is combustible gas alarm, the following we will introduce in detail the difference between the two:
In general, "explosion-proof" is a fixed gas detection system that requires higher voltage and power requirements may encounter more commonly used methods of assembly, and the installation is permanent. Intrinsically safe methods can also be used in permanent installations where the detector / sensor is a lower power device. Almost all portable instruments use "intrinsically safe" methods.

Explosion-proof:
An "explosion-proof" sensor / emitter classification, housing has been designed and constructed to contain flashes or explosions. Such housings are usually made of cast aluminum or stainless steel and have sufficient quality and safety forces that should contain explosive flammable gases or vapors that penetrate the enclosure and cause internal combustion of electronic components or wiring. The design must avoid any surface temperature that may exceed the gas coverage of the vapor ignition temperature. If the sensing element is a high-temperature device, it may be affected by a flame arrester to prevent the hot gases from propagating to the surrounding atmosphere.
