1. The gas detector should not be surrounded by strong electromagnetic fields (such as high-power motors and transformers) that would affect the operation of the instrument.
2. The gas detector is a safety instrument with sound and light display functions. It should be installed in a place where workers can easily see and hear it so that hidden dangers can be eliminated in time.
3. The installation height of the gas detector should generally be 160-170cm to facilitate daily maintenance by maintenance personnel.
4. The sensor of the gas detector is a detection element that comes into contact with combustible gas. It is composed of a platinum wire coil covered with alumina and adhesive to form a sphere. Its outer surface is attached with platinum, palladium and other rare metals. Therefore, be careful during installation to avoid breaking the sensor.
5. Depending on the density of the gas being measured, the installation position of the indoor probe of the gas detector should also be different. otherwise, the probe should be installed 30cm away from the ground, in the upward direction.
6. When the gas detector is installed in the open air, the installation height should be selected according to the density of the gas to be measured. It should be noted that the probe should be installed on the downwind side.
7. When connecting the cable of the gas detector, a protective sleeve should be added. It is best to add a metal hose at the connection point of the probe, and make sure it is consistent with the explosion-proof level of the factory.
8. After the gas detector is installed and debugged, a breathable and waterproof cover must be installed to prevent rainwater from entering and damaging the probe.
9. Calibration of the detector: During new installation or routine maintenance, the gas detector needs to be calibrated to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the detection data.
