The common causes of alarms from combustible gas detectors are as follows.
1. The gas concentration exceeds the preset value
Cause: This is the most common reason for the alarm of a combustible gas detector. When the concentration of flammable gas in the environment exceeds the alarm threshold set by the detector, the instrument will immediately sound an alarm.
Response strategy: Immediately confirm whether there is a flammable gas leak and locate the source of the leak. Take emergency measures promptly, such as cutting off gas sources and ventilating and exchanging air, to reduce the concentration of flammable gases. Notify relevant personnel to evacuate the scene and ensure their safety.

2. Gas detector malfunction
Cause: The combustible gas detector itself may malfunction, leading to false alarms or failure to work properly. This might be caused by reasons such as sensor aging or circuit board damage.
Response strategy: Regularly maintain and calibrate the gas detector to ensure it is in good working condition. If you suspect that the gas detector is faulty, you should contact a professional personal in a timely manner for maintenance or replacement.
3.The alarm value setting is unreasonable
Cause: the alarm value of the combustible gas detector was set too low, resulting in a false alarm. If the alarm value is set too low, the detector will be overly sensitive to even minor changes in gas concentration, leading to false alarms.
Response strategy: Set the alarm value of the detector reasonably based on the actual usage environment and requirements. Regularly review and adjust the alarm values of the detector to ensure they meet safety requirements.
4. Sensor drift
Cause: The sensor of the combustible gas detector may drift due to long-term use, harsh environment or aging, etc., resulting in inaccurate measurement results and causing false alarms.
Response strategy: Regularly calibrate and maintain the sensor to ensure its accuracy and reliability. If sensor drift is detected, professional personnel should be contacted promptly for maintenance or replacement.
