1.When detecting flammable or toxic gases heavier than air, it is recommended that the gas detector be installed at a height 0.3 to 0.6 meters above the ground (or floor surface), and the horizontal distance from the release source should be less than 5 meters. Installing it too low can easily cause water to enter the sensor. If it is too high, it exceeds the height at which gas is prone to accumulate.
2.When detecting toxic gases (such as carbon monoxide) with a molecular weight close to that of air and highly prone to mixing with air, the sensor should be installed within a height range of 1 meter above and below the release source. When the toxic gas is slightly lighter than air, the sensor should be installed about 0.5 to 2 meters above the release source, and the horizontal distance between the sensor and the release source should not exceed 1 meter. Ammonia (NH3) gas is a toxic and harmful gas lighter than air. Therefore, the installation height should be about 0.5 to 2 meters above the release source.

3. The effective coverage horizontal radius of the detection alarm instrument: It is advisable to be 7.5 meters indoors and 15 meters outdoors. One sensor can be set within the effective coverage area.
4. The distance between toxic gas sensors and release sources: It should not exceed 2 meters outdoors and 1 meter indoors.
5. Ammonia gas detector selection points should be chosen within a 1-meter radius around valves, pipe interfaces, air outlets or areas prone to leakage. They should be as close as possible without affecting the operation of other equipment.
6. Gas detector NH3 should be installed in places where gas is prone to leakage, flow, and retention. The installation location should be determined based on various conditions such as the density of the gas to be measured, the direction of the airflow at the installation site, and temperature.
Sufficient maintenance space should be left around the detection device, and there should be a clear height of no less than 0.5 meters and access channels between it and the surrounding pipelines and equipment.
